The Answer... Not Much

The Yankees completely devoured the Indians this weekend, making the Tribe a big 0-6 against the Bronx Bombers this season. Combine that with the 2-5 mark they put up against the Red Sox this year if the Indians can somehow manage to make it into the Playoffs, their outlook in them does not look good at all.

Neither Carmona nor Westbrook was awful but neither was brilliant. But they kept the Indians in the game... if the Tribe offense was capable of scoring more than 1-2 runs a game. This has been a problem since the All-Star Break. We thought it was troublesome that the Indians could not drive in runners when they got into scoring position earlier in the year. Well currently the Indians can't get a runner to second base to even qualify to be in scoring position. The strikeouts and double plays continue at what seems to be an increasingly alarming rate.

The Tigers must be licking their chops at the thought of a visit to Cleveland. Right now they are in a worse trend that the Indians, so something has to give. But the Tigers have been hitting, it's been their pitching that has been their Achilles Heel. Give the state of both teams, I have to give Detroit the advantage. They may be losing but they have shown signs of live and effort. The Indians seems to be dead in the water, expecting to lose and not trying to do anything to stop it.
